The Witcher 2 pirated 4.5 million times - CD Projekt

@HelIWithoutSin, your points are solid and I agree with most of the things you said. But I view it much like this : either I get a pirate copy or don't buy it all (because as sure as hell can't afford it), it's pretty much all the same for the producers, because they won't get any money from me anyway, right? doesn't affect their income. Pretty much the other way, I actually bought games I deemed worthy to be collectables, as I said. It would be a much worse offense if I actually sold and distribute the pirate copy to other people, which I know some people do... Also, I don't know how or why would I resist a free offer on anything -I don't actually crack the game, i just get it handed over by the "criminals". I don't grow the weed, I just smoke it, which is actually considered legal in most countries.
@HelIWithoutSin , I don't actually have financial difficulties, 200$/month actually makes for a decent living out here, heh. It's just there is a huge income disparity compared to the US, making anything imported from there innaccessible -be it video games, movies or salmon fish. And yes, I WOULD steal a Ferrari if I could do it in 3 min, sitting behind my desk, eating pizza, some girl comes to me and hands me the keys, smiles and gives me a foot massage. That's comparrable to how easy it is with pirated copies.
Speaking of which, tell me, do you guys own all the music you have on your PC?Or whatever you listen while you drive your car? No mp3s'? Did you buy all the movies you saw lately? no streaming from obscure movie sites? Is your windows copy actually legit? Have you ever paid for Winrar? Stop acting like saints please, and admit - everybody has used pirated software at least once in their life time
